Pre-Design Week...
OCTOBER 19-21st
The RIAI, supported by SAUL, present the First Open House Limerick. Limerick joins Dublin and Galway as Irish participants in the 2012 Open House programme. Limerick has much to offer this celebration of architecture with the aim of Open House Limerick tours and events to engage with citizens and communicate the value of architecture. The theme for the programme is loosely based on 'dwelling', in keeping with the origins of this event. The approach in the first year of Open House Limerick is to select approximately thirty buildings for its citizens and visitors to explore. The curatorial choices will aim to present a broad range of projects which reflects the diversity of the city and its environs. Offers from volunteers who could assist with the organisation of this event are welcome. The organisers can be contacted at [email protected]
